Olive Kitteridge

Read this Pulitzer Prize winner written by Elizabeth Strout. Quick read, loved the secrets behind the people of a small town in New England. Made me want to visit the a coastal town in Maine and meet this Olive Kitteridge.

What I liked about it:

- Made you think about the course of a life and the choices we make, and how they eventually come back to haunt us in our old age.
- In each of the 13 stories, it is easy to somehow relate the story to some thread of your own life.

Chose to read this though I had passed by it on the book shelves repeatedly. The 4th hour of the Today Show is what did me in. They had a guest from Cosmo (really!) on who recommended the book as a good "beach" read... not that light of reading with some of its darker themes including adultery, death and one's most private thoughts, but still very good and easy to follow, almost addictive to read.
